Special Grants Program
ISEEE coordinates and manages both Special Case Grants and Internal Grants that are focused on E&E research.
ISEEE also provides advice on additional funding opportunities, proposal development and dissemination of results to secure the future strategic direction of these initial projects. A total of 15 projects have received funding through ISEEE since 2008.
The special case grants supported the following projects:
- Fuel Cells research
- Innovations in Solar Energy Conversion Materials
- Water Initiative
- Carbon Management
In addition to these special case grants, the following internal grant projects were funded:
- Production and recovery of hydrogen
- Wind energy and bat fatalities
- Environmental and production implications of water flow through bitumen-filled sand
- Zero discharge from thermal in situ
- New airborne thermal diagnostic and monitoring tools
- Energy indigenous-environment interface implementation plan
- Model system to quantify impact or air emissions from O&G central Alberta on air quality
- Effects of subsidence from gas production in Mackenzie Delta
- Large-scale integration of wind power in electrical power grids
- Groundwater gas migration in shallow aquifers
- Hydrocarbon Metagenomics
