Learning Program
Extended Application Deadline!
The deadline for the next round of funding from the SEEL Program has been
extended to November 22, 2009. Your application(s) must be received by midnight
on this day. Please email your application to: mlowey@ucalgary.ca Make sure that we also
receive your signed and initialed Page 5 of your application, either scanned
and emailed, faxed (to 403-220-2400) or delivered to ISEEE, Earth Sciences
Building, Room 1040 (10th floor).
Our regular deadlines for applications are:
- May 15, 2009 (and thereafter May 15) -- for activities from September 1 to December 31, 2009
- October 15, 2009 (and thereafter October 15) – for activities from January 1 to April 30, 2010;
- February 15, 2010 (and thereafter February 15) – for activities from May 1 to August 31, 2010.
Note that all applications received by May 15, 2009, will for this year only also be considered for activities from May 1 to August 31, 2009.
The University of Calgary-Shell
Experiential Energy Learning
(SEEL) Program
provides up to $100,000 per
year ($50,000 to individual
students and
$50,000 to student clubs,
teams and associations) for
activities and
events focused on sustainable
energy, environment and the
economy.
The program, supported by
energy company Shell and
administered by
ISEEE, is to help enhance
the learning experience for
U of C
undergraduate students in
this area -- a top academic
priority for the
University.
Applications are judged by
an evaluation committee that
includes one
student from each of the
six key faculties and schools
working with
ISEEE. These are the Faculties
of Environmental Design,
Law, Science and
Social Sciences, as well
as the Schulilch School of
Engineering and the
Haskayne School of Business.
One representative from Shell,
the six
faculties, and the U of C's
Research Services is also
on the evaluation
committee.
